Review of the Polecats at Dingwall's in London September 18th 2005. |
My camera refused to function, luckily I've been sent some photographs, thank you Paul.

As for the Polecats, I have to say that this was one of the best Polecats gigs I have been to. It was a little odd going to a gig that started at three o'clock on a Sunday afternoon, but by the time the Polecats started playing it seemed quite normal.

Despite the unusual start time over 500 people turned up, filling the place quite easily. It was nice to see some young faces in the crowd although it must be said that the average age was quite high.
The Polecats set seemed a bit shorter than usual, but this could be down to time passing more quickly when you're enjoying yourself, which I undoubtably I was.

On to the songs, this is not a complete list of the songs they performed, but I was to busy leaping up and down to take notes, if you know any that I have missed please email me and let me know so that I can complete the list.
John I'm Only Dancing
Hip Hip Baby
Crackerjack
Cotton Pickin' Rocker
Miss Bobby Sox
Big Green Car
Little Pig
Let's Bop
Let's Go Crazy
Get on the Right Track
Please Gimme Something
What do I get
Rockabilly Guy
Crash the Party

It was one of the most manic Polecats gigs I've been to Tim didn't stand still for a moment and even treated us to a dive offstage into the audience, luckily we caught him!

Boz was lively as usual, mainly having to avoid Tim, Phil was as good as ever and John kept it all together with some manic drumming. It was a pity that the stage wasn't a bit bigger, but then you can't have everything.

All in all a great evening, next stop Sheffield!
