Well what can i say? what a show!!!!! from the roaring opening of "Get on the Right Track", straight through all the hits, "Rockabilly Guy", "John i'm Only Dancing" and many more. The room was buzzing with everyone who loved the Polecats, Straight up the front, me included, (My brother would have been there, but he fell asleep in the chalet - he always was a clever lad - i woke him up after the performace like a good brother to deliver the news "You missed the Polecats", gutted is the only word).

From the off at the start of the weekender I had decided "I'm bringing my video camera to record the set", as I didn't want to risk it at the Dingwalls gig, I did alot of filming of the day before, and around the rooms, then, onto what we'd all been waiting for, the build up was on "chart toppers of the 80s, over 10 studio albums, THE POLECATS ARE GO!!!!!!", not so sure about that albums comment, but hey I was on a high, I didn't care!!!!

On went the record button, the screen fades in, the band kick off, I record about 5 songs, and get a battery low message, GREAT! so I just put the camera with our mate on the stage and jumped into the "wrecking pit", although the Polecats aren't a Psychobilly band, they have that hard edge that grabs you like no other band can, and on this night, they had it, and they gave it as good as they could give, with Tim shoving Boz forward to the front of the stage for his solos, and Boz going madder than ever, who could have wished for a greater performance at a weekender? Through "Crackerjack", and "Crash the Party", the mood was still on a high until the very end. I can't remember what the encore track was, I was still enthralled that I was seeing my favourite band of all time, for the second time in my life....

So I get home and forget about the video, I watched it last night (16th january 07) and was again, blown away, even by those 4 or 5 songs I managed to get!

I wasn't around for the early days, I wasn't even born, I am 20 this year, but think I can safely say, this has to be one of the BEST Polecats performances EVER! Livlier than Dingwalls, and I'm told Crazier than Sheffield, the Polecats are BACK and it's like they never even went anywhere!

The Polecats ARE GO!!!
